SHIPPING POLICY 

Plants are shipped Monday - Friday of each week. Standard delivery fee will be added at checkout for all orders. Given the current policies and procedures in place to protect the health and safety of our fulfillment team, you should expect orders to ship within 3 - 5 business days. Once orders have been shipped you will automatically receive tracking information. Packages take 1-3 business days to arrive once in transit but additional delays due to weather, holiday and USPS exceptions may occur outside of our control.

 

Shipping will be via United States Postal Service within the United States and its outlying territories only at this time.

We take great care in hand packaging all of our products in bubble wrap and tissue paper to ensure your plants avoid shifting during transit. All of our succulents will ship bare-root without their nursery pot to provide a safe and dirt free transit. You will want to be sure to open you box immediately upon arrival to allow your new plant babies fresh air and repot in dry soil. Water as necessary only when soil is completely dry. 

INCOMPLETE ADDRESSES / UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES

The Terrarium is not responsible for undelivered packages due to incomplete or incorrect addresses. Be sure to verify addresses are complete when entering during checkout. In the case packages are returned it is the responsibility of the customer to pay the new shipping fee and any damage caused by USPS Return to Sender actions. 

 

EXTREME WEATHER POLICY 

It is the customer's responsibility to monitor any extreme weather conditions as too high or low temperatures can cause root decay and loss of the plant. If unexpected weather conditions do arise be sure to retrieve your package from the harsh conditions as soon as possible. The Terrarium is not responsible for loss of plants due to weather conditions.  

RETURNS / QUALITY GUARANTEE

Here at The Terrarium it is our main priority to ensure plant parents receive the highest quality succulents and air plants to add to their spaces. This is why we have a guarantee policy of replacing any plants that arrive with the following conditions:

  • Diseases / Pest Infestation

  • Root Rot

  • Damage to Terrariums

It is important to note that during transit succulents are withstanding a large amount of stress in a dark box which is why it is imperative to open as soon as they arrive. They will then need a few days to acclimate to their new environment and it is completely normal for some discoloration to occur during this process. If you notice any wilting or brown leaves you can easily remove without causing damage to the plant. If plants are damaged during transit we will provide store credit but there are no returns on succulents or air plants.

If in the rare case any of the above does occur to your plant babies upon arrival be sure to email us at hello@theterrarium.shop with a photo and description of the issue within 48 hours of receiving and we will be happy to send out a replacement as soon as possible.  

 

CARING FOR YOUR NEW PLANTS

Your plants have spent the last several days in a dark box which can cause them a lot of stress. In order to guarantee a successful transition into their new environment it is important to follow the care guide included in your kit. It is also important to note the following:

  • Do not immediately place plants in the direct sunlight since they were adjusting to darkness for several days. Slowly transition them from indirect light to direct sunlight over the course of a few days. 

  • Only water your plant when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering your plant can cause root rot.

  • Consider waiting a few days before repotting your plant to allow them to adjust to their new environment and recover from the stress of traveling. 

PRIVACY POLICY

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
